Dr. Jennifer Scott grew up in Indiana and moved to Minnesota in 2006 after meeting her husband Matt. She attended Purdue University. Dr. Jen resides in Zumbrota with her husband and children. They share their home with three German Shorthair Pointers, a Papillon, two cats and a guinea pig. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, camping, and spending time with her family. Dr. Jen's special interests include pet wellness, internal medicine and client education.
Dr. Boyle grew up on a dairy farm in central Minnesota. She attended the University of Wisconsin at River Falls and received her DVM degree from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Boyle resides in Hager City, WI with her husband, Matt, and their three children. They share their home with a German Wirehaired Pointer named Finn and a cat named Betsy. Outside of work, Dr. Boyle enjoys running, cooking, gardening and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Boyle's special veterinary interests include surgery, dentistry, dermatology and client education.
Cheryl has deep ties to the Red Wing area, having grown up in Red Wing. She brings 35 years of experience to Black Dog Animal Hospital, having graduated from the University of Minnesota-Waseca in 1980 as a veterinary technician. Her duties over the years expanded to office management, but she still loves to come to work every day because of the animals and interactions with their owners. She and Dave, her husband of 32 years, raised two daughters and many pets through the years. She enjoys skiing, running and hiking and her two Dobermans "Gilly" and "Nova" accompany her often.
Jill is a certified veterinary technician. She received her degree in Applied Sciences from the University of Minnesota-Waseca and brings decades of experience to the hospital. She enjoys working here at Black Dog Animal Hospital because of the attention paid to patient care and making sure the animals and clients are comfortable while receiving top of the line medical care. Jill lives in Wabasha and shares her home with her two children and pets. She has a Chinese Crested named Harriet and a cat named Beast. She enjoys spending time with her children, bowling and fishing.
Emily was born and raised on Minnesota's North Shore in Two Harbors, MN. From a young age she has had a deep love for animals. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Crookston with a Bachelors of Science degree in Equine Science and Animal Science. Although she obviously loves large animals, she loves the dynamic of small animal work and brings care and compassion for them every day. Emily lives locally with her husband Kyle and their two children. They also share their home with two great danes named Big Boy and Iggy and their cat named Bogie. In her spare time Emily enjoys horseback riding, boating, fishing, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Jamie grew up in Indiana and moved to Red Wing in 1999 where her love for animals and helping people since an early age lead her to pursuing her Veterinary Technician degree from the Minnesota School of Business. Jamie brings a great deal of knowledge and skills to the hospital. She worked in a veterinary day practice for five years and then moved onto the emergency clinic in Rochester for six years to further her craft and expertise. Jamie has a Yorkshire Terrier named Mac. In her free time she enjoys cooking, gardening, being outdoors, camping, canoeing and spending time with family and friends.
Mickey has been a certified veterinary technician since 1998 when she graduated from The Medical Institute of Minnesota (now known as Argosy University). Mickey started here at Black Dog Animal Hospital in April of 2017. She shares the same values as all of us here at Black Dog and her quality of care for our patients and clients is extraordinary. Mickey enjoys client education, the variety of tasks performed on a daily basis and most importantly the human-animal bond. Mickey lives locally with her husband, 2 dogs (a Drahthaar named Pepin and a Pug named Pug) and 2 cats (Cannon and Hugo). In her free time she enjoys outdoor activities with family and friends.
